WINDSOR

Today's adventure has taken us to Windsor with Amber. We arrived by train this morning. It's a gorgeous place. Lots of cobbled streets and brick terrace houses.
Right in the middle of town is Windsor Castle, where the Queen lives a lot of the time. She is actually here at the moment but we haven't seen her (yet).
We did a tour of the castle - magnificent place, filled with treasures and incredible art works. There were lots of guards marching around in their red uniforms with furry hats!

St George's chapel is in the grounds of the castle. Ten monarchs, the Queen mother, King Henry VIII and Jane Seymour are buried there. We went to the church for Evensong at 5.00pm. That was very special. The St George choir was amazing!
The weather is cool but sunny. We enjoyed lunch in a quaint pub, chatting with some locals. Afternoon tea was in The Crooked House and we finished up with drinks at a very popular pub, sitting in the sun.
