We attended Mattins (morning prayer) at St George's Chapel. Wow! The Knights of the Old Guard marched in, followed by the choir. The singing of hymns was beautiful, with the voices of the choir filling the chapel. A truly special experience.
Next was a visit to an Antiques and Crafts Show which was held in the building in which Prince Charles and Camilla were married. We had morning tea there, sipping delicately from fine china cups, in a room full of portraits of monarchs, including a young Queen Elizabeth.
A boat trip up the Thames River, past Eton College and the Windsor Race Course was a very pleasant way to see more of the area. We then walked from Windsor to nearby Eton to see Eton College but just missed the guided tour.
Then it was back to the Windsor Station to catch the train back to Paddington Station, the home of Paddington Bear.
What an amazing weekend!
