AMSTERDAM TO FRANKFURT

Sunday was a travel day. We caught the train from Amsterdam for a four hour journey to Frankfurt, Germany. The train experience was very relaxing and enjoyable, although we were glad we had reserved seats as some passengers were sitting on the floor!
On our arrival, we were advised to catch the subway as the Ironman was on that day and taxis could not enter the city.
We managed to get to a station close to the hotel and caught a taxi for a short ride.
Once checked in, we spent the rest of the afternoon on buses and trams trying to get into the city for a look.
In the evening, we met out tour guide and fellow travellers.
