SANTORINI

Today has been one of R&R (rest and relaxation). For the first time in many weeks we have not had to set an alarm to catch a bus or plane or train and did not have to be anywhere at any time.
We sat by the pool for a little before having breakfast down at the beach. From there we strolled along the beachfront and along the street until it was too hot and we headed back to the pool.
Back to the beachfront for lunch and another stroll before an afternoon siesta. It is quite hot here, so shade is a priority and the pool is a bonus.

In the evening we walked down to the beach and relaxed with a cocktail as the sun went down before finding a restaurant for dinner.
Whilst in Greece we have sampled tzatziki, hommus, souvlaki, whole squid and other assorted delicacies, so were looking forward to more Greek fare for dinner. Couldn't get moussaka but settled for risotto and pizza.
The brindle boxer dog we had watched dig holes in the sand when we were on the beach must have belonged to someone that worked in the restaurant (the chef??) as he wandered between tables as we ate, with a plastic bottle in his mouth waiting for someone to play with him!
Tomorrow we fly to Athens where we will spend the final three nights of our awesome adventure.
