The best laid plans.......
We left the house with a list of sights to see, but completely detoured.
A red double decker bus ride took us to the Natural History Museum, but the sight of hundreds of school children on excursions as well as a few hundred tourists resulted in our first change of direction.
We walked on and discovered Harrods department store! Summer sales kept us busy for quite a while.
From there, we were very brave and descended the stairs to the subway for our first ride on the tube.
We walked along the river boardwalk, passing Tate Modern Gallery, Globe Theatre, Thames River and Southwark Cathedral.
At London Bridge we caught the tube back home, very proud of our navigation skills.
Tonight we're off to the theatre to see Rock of Ages. Can't wait!
