Amsterdam is famous for windmills and clogs, so today's adventure included a trip to the countryside.
This morning we found time to visit the Sex Museum, which was more like a collection of photos than a museum.
A bus took us into the countryside. Along with about 60 other tourists of assorted nationalities we visited a small fishing village, cruised across a man-made lake in glorious sunshine and lunched in a local pub at Volendam. From there we visited a windmill village and saw how cheese and clogs are made.
Back in Amsterdam in the evening we walked the streets to find St Francis Xavier church. We took photos, but the church was closed.
On our stroll through the Red Light District we found the prostitutes' windows in the same building as a church! Bizarre!
