KRAKOW TO BUDAPEST

Jo napot! Hello from Budapest.
Today was a travel day, travelling from Krakow in Poland, through Slovakia to Budapest in Hungary.
We drove through the Tatra Mountains of Poland, which in Winter are covered in snow. The houses in the small towns are little cottages with A frame roofs so the snow slides off. The mountains were covered in "Christmas trees" (a variety of pine tree) which must look magnificent when covered in snow. Today there was no snow, just a little rain, so the mountains were green, not white.
We had lunch in a small ski resort town in Slovakia. There were tourists everywhere !
Many of the towns we passed through have the large apartment blocks built during communist rule. Our tour guide refers to them as Stalin baroque style of architecture. The smaller villages had the little houses.
Tonight we are cruising the Danube River on an Illuminations Cruise to see the city lights from the Danube!
